JenAcon coordinates the complex interactions between seller and buyer

With or without reference to real estate transactions, JenAcon has already advised several well-known clients with regard to the sale of the entire company, and also on acquisitions, mergers and restructurings. This has included, for example, the sale of the real estate and operating business of 74 Karstadt department stores (later “Hertie”) and the sale of the entire German Woolworth chain on behalf of Electra Private Equity. JenAcon has also been representing, as M&A advisor, the French CAC 40 group Vinci. We feel comfortable coordinating complex transactional environments, in addition to offering plain vanilla solutions.

Our focus is on the retail and parking sector, however, in principle we accept mandates in almost all traditional branches of industry. As a rule, the starting point is a portfolio analysis and consultation. This is followed by either a classic structured bid process or an “off market” offer and extends up to the conclusion of the transaction. In buy-side mandates, portfolio consulting is followed by the search for potential purchase targets, conducting sales negotiations and coordinating due diligence, as well as support in negotiating the final sale and purchase agreements.

Our managing partner, Dr. Joachim Arenth, gained extensive experience in handling complex transactions of several billion euros as former Head of Strategy and Head of M&A at Bertelsmann AG prior to his leadership of JenAcon.
